Colorado Lease Agreement Template

A Colorado sublease agreement is a legal document used when a tenant leasing a property wants to have another party, known as a “subtenant,” live at the property and pay rent for a period of time. This practice is known as subleasing, or sometimes subletting, should only be done with the permission of the property’s landlord, because it involves introducing a new party into a lease agreement. Landlords may consent to a sublease if the original tenant has run into temporary money problems that threaten the tenant’s ability to pay rent. Sublease agreements typically leave the original tenant responsible if the subtenant fails to pay rent or otherwise violates the original lease agreement.

Landlord’s Consent Form – Many lease agreements will require the a written agreement with the landlord in order to bring in a subtenant.
